Looking for discount treadmills?
In this economy many people are cancelling their pricey gym memberships and choosing a home treadmill instead to get fit and lose weight. No doubt you want to get a discount on your treadmill. The good news is that you can get one - if you know where to look.
One thing to be aware of is that not all "deals" are really savings. You need to know what you're looking for before you buy.
The best thing to do is decide on what you want before you go looking for discounts or deals. For example do you want the commercial construction quality of a Sole? Do you want the cool fitness tracking toys you can find on a Nordic Track? How about a Bowflex with that sleek look and cool design?
There's no use looking for deals on a brand you haven't researched or don't know much about. Then you're not really sure what you're getting. You may think it's a high end treadmill but find out later that you really just bought a cheap treadmill with a $50 discount on it.
So know what you're looking for first. Then go looking for discounts.
How do you find them? I'm going to let you in on a few secrets that most buyers don't know about how to get discount treadmills:
First of all - know when to buy. There are some brands that go on sale at certain times. I know of one brand that changes their prices online almost every day - but they do tend to bring out the best deals on the weekends.
And many stores or manufacturers will run sales at certain times of the year like in January for New Years or when the market is slow and there's a buildup of inventory like the summer months.
There are other brands that don't change prices - they stay the same all the time. No matter where you buy them or when, the prices never change and there are no discounts - ever. These tend to be more of the premium commercial grade brands.
If you're waiting to get a deal on these treadmills, you won't. But sometimes you can do other things like buying from the manufacturer online to get Free Shipping and save on sales tax. That will save you some money - around $150.
Here's another way to get a discount. There are some brands that are owned by larger companies. For example, ICON health and fitness owns Proform, Epic, Reebok and Weslo to name a few. Nautilus owns Bowflex and Schwinn.
Sometimes you can find a 'cheaper' brand that is almost the exact same treadmill as a more expensive brand - but the because the first brand name is known for being a more discount brand, the price is lower than the more expensive brand. And it's virtually the exact same treadmill - for a few hundred less.
Another way to get a discount is to do your research. For example, manufacturers give special discounts to websites like mine because we've been around so long. Manufacturers know that a lot of people read our reviews.
So they want to tempt my website visitors to buy by giving them coupon or discount links. I also run a sales page where I list the best sales every day - the real sales. So people can check and see if their favorite model has come down in price.
The bottom line is that if you want discount treadmills, you can find them. But you need to do some research beforehand and be vigilant. Know what you want first and then go looking for true discount deals. Because when you save $100-$300 on your treadmill you'll be glad you did.
